I've been thinking about LGBTQ issues for a while. I realize that cultures change and behaviors that are illegal can become acceptable. AS a result I have accepted the LGB spectrum as something, even though I am somewhat uncomfortable with, I can accept. I dislike equating LB marriage with "classic" marriage, but I'm flexible and accept that the culture as a whole has accepted that. It's done and I'm OK with it. However, I have a fundamental issue with T. The reason I see T as different is that T involves accepting that an individuals feelings are more important than physical reality. This is the path to the destruction of any scientific testing and the foundations of Western Civilization - the source of modern liberal attitudes (things like free speech and the end of slavery) as well as the magnificent gains in the human condition world-wide. Accepting T means that feels outweigh reality. There is a term for individuals who reject reality for something they believe is true - delusional. As a result, unless I can hear =an argument that T is not a denial of physical reality, I will continue to consider T's as delusional. I don't much care if that's what they want to believe (after all some delusions are useful (a Mother's delusions about the beauty and intelligence of her infants is a positive survival trait) as individuals, but I draw the line at the expectation that society as a whole should accept their feels over physical reality. That is a long term disaster. And I haven't addressed Q because I don't see is as anything different for a mix of LGB attitudes.
