"What in the world is wrong with the voters?"

 This is the question asked in this article - https://news.yahoo.com/nicholas-goldberg-focusing-trump-may-110017326.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall - and it reflects the arrogance of many commentators on the left or right (although my perception is that the left suffers much more from this than the right).  In a democracy, the voters have the last word, and when commentators focus on how "wrong" they are, or if they are "despicable", or "domestic terrorists" they are defying democratic principles and just working to divide the electorate - and the country.  Indeed, one on my biggest disappointments in President Biden is that he has governed as much more a "divider" that the "uniter" he campaigned as.

 Lots of recent discussion about "elite" schools that require rigorous tests for admittance.  The complaints center around the "under-representation" of certain racial/cultural groups - typically Black and Hispanic - and the "over-representation" of others - mostly Asians.  The most common "fix" seems to be to lower that standards to assure a "representative" mix. Settled Science

 Read this article ( https://www.science20.com/hontas_farmer/transgender_science_is_settled_science_it_does_not_support_your_ideology_or_bans_on_care-256467 ) on "Real Clear Science" and strongly disagree with it. First, any article that claims that an area of science is "settled" is almost surely wrong.  Science isn't "settled" - it's evolving as more information becomes available.
